WINDOWS AND GLAZING IN ALANYA CENTRE

Alanya centre means dense housing, busy streets and many buildings put up long before the current construction boom. Here, the job is most often not just glazing a balcony but replacing old windows and tackling city noise.

Old buildings, new windows

Many buildings in the centre still have old aluminium frames with single glazing. They are draughty, let noise through and do a poor job of keeping air-conditioned rooms cool in summer. Replacing the windows with modern REHAU, VEKA or KBE PVC systems (from €140/m²) solves several problems at once: the flat becomes quieter and air-conditioning costs go down.

Street noise and the tourist season

In summer the centre stays lively until late at night: traffic, cafés, music. For flats with windows onto busy streets, we recommend:

• multi-chamber PVC profile with double glazing and tight seals;
• double glazing with panes of different thickness — it dampens sound waves better;
• a glazed balcony as an additional buffer between the street and the room.

Correct ventilation matters too: in micro-ventilation mode the window lets in fresh air, while street noise remains noticeably quieter than with the panel fully open.

Non-standard openings and balconies

Balconies in old buildings are rarely perfectly straight: skewed parapets, different opening sizes on the same floor, traces of earlier alterations. That is why the surveyor measures at several points, and the windows are made at our own factory to fit the opening exactly. For small balconies, sliding glazing from €130/m² works well — the panels take up no space when opened.

If a neighbour in the building has already glazed their balcony, we will try to match a similar profile and colour so that the façade of the old building does not become even more patchwork. This is especially appreciated in buildings where residents try to keep a tidy appearance.

Installation in a densely built area

Narrow streets and difficult parking are a normal part of working in the centre. We plan delivery and installation times in advance to disturb neighbours as little as possible. The survey and project are free, the minimum order for a balcony is around €700, and we provide a guarantee on products and installation. The centre has many flats let to tourists by the night or for the season. For such properties, windows are part of the service: guests appreciate a quiet bedroom, and owners appreciate lower air-conditioning bills and no noise complaints. Old single-glazed frames here are increasingly being replaced precisely for the sake of reviews and occupancy.

Replacement can be done between bookings if the timing is agreed in advance: installing one window does not take long, and cleaning up after the work is part of our job.
