Glazing for a seasonal flat

When a property stays closed for several months, the balcony suffers from dust, rain and sun. Practical solutions for Avsallar:

• sliding aluminium from €130/m² — protects the balcony and needs no complicated maintenance;

• frameless glazing from €160/m² — if you want the balcony to be open again in summer.

The choice between these options depends on how often you stay in the flat. If you come for a month or two in summer, a sliding or frameless system makes more sense; if you plan to spend the winter here, PVC windows are worth considering.

We take this into account in the project and choose fixings that will not damage the waterproofing of the floor slab. For lighting and sockets it is worth planning the wiring in advance so that cables do not have to be run across finished glazing.

Avsallar is further from the centre than most districts, so we agree the survey date in advance. The survey and project themselves are free. We manufacture PVC windows at our own factory, and installation is carried out by a Russian-speaking team. The minimum order for a balcony is around €700, with a guarantee on products and workmanship.

Many flats in Avsallar are let to holidaymakers. For tenants, a glazed balcony is an obvious advantage: they can dry beach things on it without worrying about the wind and relax in the evening free of mosquitoes and dust.
