A winter garden is a terrace or veranda enclosed in glass on all sides and overhead, which you can use at any time of year. In Alanya they are most often built at villas and garden flats: in winter the space is warm and bright, and in summer the glass walls slide open so it becomes an open space again.
The Mediterranean winter is mild but rainy and windy, and an ordinary terrace turns into unused space for several months. A winter garden extends the season: you can have breakfast there in January, grow plants and entertain guests regardless of the weather.
A winter garden also adds usable floor space to your home without major construction — one more room with a view, which noticeably increases a villa's appeal.

The main mistake is building a winter garden as a fully enclosed greenhouse. Under the southern sun, such a room overheats in summer. That is why we design in sliding walls, an opening roof and sun protection: in summer the structure works as a shaded terrace, in winter as a warm glazed room.
Ventilation matters too: even on cool days, temperature and humidity build up quickly under glass, especially if the winter garden is full of plants. Opening vents on opposite sides create cross-ventilation, and a ceiling fan helps circulate the air. We plan all of this in advance so the structure is comfortable in every season.
A winter garden is assembled from several systems, and its final price depends on the area and the type of walls and roof. So we will calculate the overall price after the survey; for guidance, see the prices of the individual systems above and our online calculator. The survey and design are free.
A winter garden in Alanya is a great place for plants that dislike direct scorching sun and cold winter winds: potted citrus, orchids, palms. To keep them happy, allow for ventilation and partial shading.
Choose furniture that resists UV and humidity: rattan, teak, aluminium, outdoor fabrics. Lighting and sockets are best planned before the glazing goes in, so cables do not have to be run across the glass. At the design stage we will advise where to leave room for services and how to position the opening sashes so the air circulates evenly.
Most often on the terraces of private houses and villas, as well as ground-floor flats with a garden. If you are planning a complete glazing project, see also our pages on terrace glazing and villa glazing. We have been working since 2022, have completed more than 800 orders across Turkey and provide a warranty on products and installation.
If you include sliding walls, an opening roof and sun protection, it will not overheat. We build this into the design.
We will calculate the price after the survey. As a guide: glazing from €130/m², HS lift-and-slide door from €135/m², retractable roof from €180/m².
